string(108) of the School The First Year The school’s inconveniences got clear in the school’s first year. 9-494-070 NOVEMBER 18, 1993 JOHN J. GABARRO Thurgood Marshall High School On July 15, David Kane became head of the Thurgood Marshall High School, the most current of the six secondary schools in Great Falls, Illinois. The school had opened two years sooner in the midst of national praise for being a significant achievement in downtown instruction. We will compose a custom article test on Thurgood Marshall or then again any comparative subject just for you Request Now Among its numerous highlights, the school was uniquely structured and developed for the â€Å"house system† idea. Marshall High’s association was separated into four â€Å"houses,† every one of which contained 300 understudies, a staff of 18, and a housemaster. The Marshall complex was structured with the goal that each house was in a different structure associated with the â€Å"core facilities†1 and different houses by an encased outside path. Each house had its own passageway, homerooms, latrines, gathering rooms, and housemaster’s office. (See Exhibit 1 for the format. ) Kane realized that Marshall High was not planned to be a normal school. It had been hailed as a significant advancement in downtown instruction, and a Chicago TV channel had made a narrative about it soon after it opened. Marshall High had opened with a painstakingly chosen staff of educators; many were browsed other Great Falls schools and at any rate twelve had been particularly enrolled from out-of-state. In fact, Kane realized his staff included alumni from a few East and West Coast schools, for example, Stanford, Yale, and Princeton, just as a few of the absolute best midwestern schools. Indeed, even the racial blend of understudies had been deliberately adjusted so African-Americans, whites, and Hispanics each established 33% of the understudy body (in spite of the fact that Kane additionally knew†maybe better than its plannersâ€that Marshall’s understudies were drawn from the hardest and least fortunate territories of the city). The structure itself was likewise generally respected for its excellence and usefulness and had won a few national compositional honors. In spite of these cautious and expand arrangements, Marshall High School was in erious trouble when Kane turned into its head. It had been wracked by savagery the previous year, having been shut twice by understudy unsettling influences and once by an instructor walkout. It was likewise generally detailed (despite the fact that Kane didn't know without a doubt) that accomplishment scores of its ninth and tenth grade understudies had really declined during the most recent two years, while no huge improvement could be found in the scores of eleventh and twelfth graders’ tests. Marshall High School had missed the mark regarding its planners’ expectations and desires. The center offices incorporated the cafeteria, nurses’ room, direction workplaces, the boys’ and girls’ rec centers, the workplaces, the shops, and theater. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Professor John J. His dad was one of the city’s first African-American directors; along these lines Kane knew about the city as well as with its educational system too. Subsequent to serving a voyage through obligation with the U. S. Marine Corps in Viet Nam, Kane chose to follow his father’s strides and went to Great Falls State College, from which he got the two his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in training. Kane was guaranteed in rudimentary and auxiliary school organization, English, and physical instruction. Kane had shown English and had trained in a transcendently African-American center school until ten years prior, when he was approached to turn into the school’s right hand head. Following five years in that post, he was approached to assume control over the George La Rochelle Middle School, which had 900 understudies and was presumed to be the most troublesome center school in the city. While at La Rochelle, Kane increased a citywide notoriety for being a skilled and mainstream head and was credited with diverting La Rochelle around from the most exceedingly awful center school in the framework to truly outstanding. He had been exceptionally viable in building network support, enlisting new personnel, and increasing scholarly expectations. He was likewise credited with turning out b-ball and baseball crews that won state and region center school titles. Kane realized that he had been chosen for the Marshall work more than a few progressively senior up-and-comers due to his capacity to deal with predicament. The director had clarified when he extended Kane the employment opportunity. The administrator had additionally disclosed to him that he would require all of expertise and karma he could assemble. Kane knew about the imposing accreditations of Dr. Louis Parker, his forerunner at Marshall High. Parker, a white, had been the director of a little, neighborhood township educational system before turning out to be Marshall’s first head. He had additionally composed a book on the house framework idea just as a second book on downtown instruction. Parker had earned a Ph. D. from the University of Chicago and a godliness degree from Harvard. However in spite of his great foundation and clear capacity, Parker had surrendered in dissatisfaction and was depicted by numerous individuals as a messed up man. Indeed, Kane saw the physical change that Parker had experienced over that two-year time frame. Parker’s appearance had gotten logically progressively exhausted and stressed until he created what seemed, by all accounts, to be changeless dull rings under his eyes and a ceaseless stoop. Kane recollected how he had felt sorry for him and thought about how Parker could secure the position worth the conspicuous individual cost it was taking. History of the School The First Year The school’s inconveniences got obvious in the school’s first year. You read Thurgood Marshall in class Papers Rumors of contentions between the housemasters and the six branch of knowledge division heads were across the board by the center of the main year. The contentions originated from contrasts in understandings of educational program strategy on required learning and course content. In light of these contentions, Parker had founded a â€Å"free market† strategy by which division makes a beeline for urge housemasters to offer certain courses, while housemasters were to persuade office heads to appoint certain educators to their homes. Numerous eyewitnesses in the educational system felt that this approach exacerbated the contentions. To add to this atmosphere of contention, an educator was attacked in her homeroom in February. The beating terrified a considerable lot of the staff, especially a portion of the more established instructors. An appointment of eight educators requested that Parker recruit security watches seven days after the ambush. The solicitation encouraged a discussion inside the staff about the attractive quality of having watches in the school. One gathering felt that the watchmen would ingrain a feeling of security inside the school and in this manner advance a superior learning atmosphere, while the other gathering felt that the nearness of gatekeepers would be abusive and would 2 Thurgood Marshall High School 494-070 estroy the feeling of network and trust that was creating. Parker rejected the solicitation for security watches since he accepted that emblematically they would speak to everything the school was attempting to change. In April an educator was looted and beaten in her homeroom after school hours and the discussion was revived, aside from this time a gathering of Latino gu ardians took steps to blacklist the school except if better safety efforts were founded. Again Parker declined the solicitation for security monitors. The Second Year The school’s second year was significantly more pained than the first. As a result of spending reductions requested during the past summer, Parker couldn't supplant eight educators who surrendered throughout the mid year; it was not, at this point conceivable, thusly, for each house to set up the entirety of its courses with its own workforce. Parker along these lines organized a â€Å"flexible staffing† strategy whereby a few instructors were approached to show understudies from outside their allocated house; in this way, understudies in the eleventh and twelfth grades had the option to take some elective and required courses in different houses. During this period, Wesley Chase, one of the housemasters, freely assaulted the move as a stage toward devastating the house framework. In a letter to the Great Falls Times, he blamed the Board for Education of sabotaging the house idea by decreasing assets. The discussion over the adaptable staffing strategy was increased when two of different housemasters joined a gathering of workforce and division directors in restricting Wesley Chase’s reactions. This gathering contended that the individual house resources of 15 to 18 educators would never offer their understudies the broadness of courses that a schoolwide workforce of 65 to 70 instructors could offer and that interhouse cross enlistment ought to be energized therefore. Further extension of a cross-enlistment or adaptable staffing strategy was ended

Externality Case Study Essay

What is the balance wage? _$60,000_________________________ Now, think about this situation: Due to an expansion in the web security dangers, the administration needs to apply a value control in this market to urge more individuals to become web security experts. Expect that a pay control is set at $75,000. Will this expansion the quantity of individuals entering this work advertise? Why or why not? Will this expansion the quantity of individuals recruited? Why or why not? It will expand the quantity of individuals entering this work showcase as a result of the expansion of pay from the balance will be alluring, however this will cause a deficiency in the work advertise. Since the quantity of individuals entering this work advertise has expanded, there won't be sufficient situations for them. Because of this, the quantity of individuals employed will diminish. Likewise, another factor to consider is the spending plan for the organizations for these positions. On the off chance that the balance is set at $60,000 the organization probably won't be in a situation to build the follow through on rate to suit the cost control, along these lines causing them not to have the option to fill those positions. 2. Accept you are a policymaker in Washington DC. Lobbyists for the preschoolers of America have squeezed their agents to top costs on graham wafers. You have been relegated a situation on another advisory group to examine the effect of a value roof on graham wafers. Your main responsibility is to: an.) Illustrate utilizing a completely named flexibly and request diagram (mark all the tomahawks and any lines you put in your chart) what such a fake cost resembles. b.) Explain what the aftereffects of such a move are for the graham wafer advertise. As it were, will there be a SHORTAGE, a SURPLUS, or neither made? Why? b.) There will be a lack made. At first the general population may be glad about the value roof, however not long after the merchants will start to apportion the graham saltines dependent on different components since the one generally ready to pay will never again be a factor. Likewise, this may make customers remain in long queues so as to have the option to buy the graham wafers, however since there are insufficient graham wafers provided, not every person will have the option to buy the graham saltines. At long last, makers will proceed onward to create different items that are more gainful than graham saltines, exacerbating the lack. 3. Contamination is considered by most a negative externality. Some economistsâ would like to see the expenses of these weights fused into the cost of products that we purchase. For example, since coal fire power plants increment discharges that might prompt environmental change, these financial experts accept that the value we pay for power isn't satisfactorily sufficiently high. Draw a totally named diagram and show on the chart how much higher power costs would be if the full expenses of power creation were considered. You don't have to give genuine numbers; rather, appear on the value pivot where the cost would be before the externality is thought of and the cost after the externality is incorporated. What issues may exist in deciding this new, externality based, cost? Individuals probably won't have the option to manage the cost of the new costs if the outside expenses are incorporated which may prompt the shoppers to search for options in power source. A portion of these choices may incorporate utilizing progressively ancient forms, for example, kindling or coal, which may expand contamination. Or on the other hand they may be lead to take power or utilize the underground market for elective force source. 4. In the days of yore beacons were worked along the coast to keep ships from steering into the rocks on rocks in new ports. By sparkling a light emission over a port and controlling boats from rocks, these essential structures decreased the hazard for transport chiefs and were commonly viewed as incredibly significant assets. Inquisitively, beacons were quite often run and kept up by nearby governments. Clarify in monetary terms why private firms would not run a beacon. A private firm would not run a beacon since it is viewed as an open decent. The beacon is non-excludable since the privately owned business can't prohibit anybody from utilizing the beacon. It is likewise non-rivalrous since the quality doesn't go down if different ships or organizations utilize the beacon. On the off chance that a private firm constructed a beacon, in the end different organizations will utilize the beacon to make a trip to the port making the private firm be vexed about different firms exploiting its utilization. Since the private firm would not be keen on building beacons since it is non-excludable and non-rivalrous, it would be in the administrations wellbeing to utilize its assets (charges and such) to assemble the beacon. This thusly will help improve the economy since theâ companies would now be able to bring their provisions unafraid of losing their boats in the night.

Union Between A Man And A Woman Arranged Marriages - 1650 Words

Union Between A Man And A Woman: Arranged Marriages (Essay Sample) Content: NameInstructorCourseDateArranged MarriagesMarriage is the union between a man and a woman, which in most cases recognized by the law as husband and wife. Marriage can also be defined as unity between different sex persons such as that of traditional marriage (Allen and Hawkins 56). The reasons why people get married are their love for their partner, the urge to share their lifetime with their partner, and the need to have companionship. As expected of them by the society and giving one another support to achieve their own needs and dreams. One should not get married as a reason of being free from their parents, wanting to have sex, to stop being lonely, to look for happiness, to show that they are now mature. Other marriages happen because a couple is compelled by pregnancy. The two ways of getting a marriage partner include; arranged marriage and new marriages. In this paper discusses the differences between arranged and new marriage based on the novel Namesake by J humpa Lahiri. In the arranged marriage, the parties involved have no say over the choice of their future spouses (Seth 45). The main characteristic of this marriage is that both parties do not give full consent to their arrangement. The advantage of such marriage is that the background of the spouses getting married is usually known, therefore, the introduction of unwanted character into the family lineage is minimal if any. The other advantage here is that it strengthens the family ties. Seth argues the families of the parties involved in such an organization usually have respect for one another brought about by the union of their children (Seth 56). However, there are also disadvantages to such unions. Usually spouses do not know each others behaviors and they are surprised when they learn real personality of their spouse. In addition, when there is a conflict between the two families their marriage can result in a separation or even a divorce. On the other hand, new marriages are t he kind where the partners have the right to choose and decide the person to marry. The parties in this case usually have knowledge of each other for some time and are comfortable in making a long-term decision to being together until death separates them. Many advantages come with this type of marriage (Beverly 54). The couples in many cases share house tasks making because of their love, they also work as a team that is while the husbands struggle to repair broken chairs the wife prepares some food. There is also a lot of understanding between the couples. They usually consult before undertaking any crucial decision (Hawkins 24).In the novel, Namesake, Ashima and Ganguli are a young couple, who had an arranged marriage. In this case, their union presents an ideal example of an arranged marriage. The main characteristic of this marriage is that they observe their tradition, the tradition of the Bengali people. The couple moves to the United States of America, where Ashoke studies e ngineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In the meantime, Ganguli gets ready to give birth to Gogol. When she finally gives birth after many struggles with the culture shock she experienced another challenge faces the couple, that of naming their baby. Because of their traditional background that requires an elder to name the baby. They even write a letter to Gogols grandmother, but unfortunately, she passes on before she receives the letter. They finally settle on Gogol (Lahiri 34). As seen in this example, culturally arranged marriages come with many disadvantages. For instance, the couple has lost its freedom and even cannot perform a single task of naming a baby. Therefore, one can conclude that traditionally arranged marriage deprives couples of their basic rights, example being a giving a name to a baby.Gogol grows up and goes through school and as he grows up hating his name. Although his parents are hesitant at first to allow him change his name, they finally bore to pressure from Gogol and finally have him change it. Gogol grows up having a lot of freedom, and he cannot even remember when he lost his virginity (Lahiri 45). This not expected of one in a tradition set up requiring a virgin till marriage. If Gogol were to get an arranged marriage, he would not have gotten a marriage partner. Virginity has value in traditionally arranged marriages. When Gogol gets a job in an architectural office, he rents a small house in New York. One day at a party, Gogol meets a girl named Maxine that steals his attention. He then moves into her girlfriends house. He lives with her in her own floor even though they are not yet married. Gogol blends well in the family and even helps doing the various house chores. (Lahiri 51) This union only comes with new marriages, where those involved have the liberty to choose their partners. Unlike in the arranged marriage, Gogol and Maxine interaction gives them an opportunity to know each other better and if it resulted to marriage, there would be less conflict between the couple. Maxines parents accept Gogol. When the families of Maxine leave for summer holiday, they request Maxine and Gogol to merry with them. They stay at an apartment that belongs to Maxines grandparents. (Lahiri 54) This invitation and acceptance of Gogol by Maxines parents plays a critical role in the new marriages. It provides an opportunity for parents to learn who their son in-law is. This creates acceptance and leads to reduction of disagreements between the parents and their children when they finally settle down. When Gogol finally gets to introduce Maxine to his parents, Ashima dismisses Maxine. Ashima claims that Gogol will eventually get over her. This worsens when Gogols father dies shortly after meeting Maxine. Gogol goes for his fathers belongings and suddenly changes. He withdraws from Maxine and eventually breaks up the relationship. Google spends more time with his mother and sister. The death of Gogo ls father may have been a result of Gogols intended marriage to Maxine. This comes about by the strong believe in arranged marriage. According to Lahiri His rejection to Gogols choice of spouse may have caused Gogol to withdraw from Maxine resulting to the breakup (Lahiri 64). This scenario exhibits the effect of new marriages. One partner may walk away from one simply because there was no responsibility and pressure from any quarter to see the spouse stay together. Biological Determinism And Why Sociologist Have Mounted...

This assignment is going to look at the concept of biological determinism and why sociologist have mounted such a powerful attack. Due to time constraints and word count, this essay will focus on gender and race with reference to biological determinism. The term biological determinism it is a theory that looks into a person’s behaviour and also their genetic makeup, it does not take into account any other social factors which surrounds the environment. It argues the fact that the biological factors i.e., genes and genetics are based on the way an individual behaves over time. Psychologist Charles Darwin, Mendel believed â€Å"our bodies changed to handle the environment†. Helen Cronin (2007) states that as human beings we have evolved but we still have this legacy today - the world has changed but our minds have not. Darwin uses this theory as natural selection he thought that both men and women minds are predetermined to do different things in society i.e. women have children and men go out hunting. By this he is referring to the nature side (genetics) of nature versus nurture (environment) argument. On the other hand sociologist argued that it is due to our environment how we as human beings behave. They looked at the culture, upbringing, social patterns and relationship to pan out the way individuals behave in society. Matt Ridley wrote a article on the Genetics- The Genes of blame where he states that there are genes in our bodies that are diseased. The Two Sides of Othello - 1111 Words

William Shakespeare introduces the title character of the play Othello as a man who is well respected by the citizens of Venice. Othello is an esteemed military man whose conquests have added to Venice’s glory. He has always lived in the public eye and been held in high regard. When he is confronted with the possibility of his new bride’s infidelity, Othello does not know how to confront and control these new emotions. Othello’s lack of understanding of his personal self and emotions leads to his downfall and tragedy within the play. Whose solid virtue The shot of accident nor dart of chance Could neither graze nor pierce? Lodovico calls attention to Othello’s normally calm demeanor, one that the battlefields of war are unable to shake. As Othello gives in to his jealousy, he demeans Desdemona, stating, â€Å"she can weep† (4.1.248) and â€Å"proceed†¦in [her] tears† (4.1.250). Although Othello is a strong military man on the battlefield, those around him expect him to be a better husband and a better person to the fair Desdemona, as she is not an enemy. Impact on wide area network Essay Example For Students

Impact on wide area network Essay PACT OF WIDE AREA NETWORKS ON BUSINESSWhere does one start when discussing the impact of Wide Area Networks (WANs) on business? Its been huge! WANs have created an entirely new segment in the business market and revolutionized many of the current ones. A person could write for days or months about all the impacts and effects WANs have had. This essay will focus on three primary areas to describe the impact of WANs on business. First, some specific types of applications will be discussed and how they can improve day-to-day business operations. WANs enable various communication mediums to exist that significantly improve the speed of business communications. The telephone and e-mail are a couple of examples. WANs also allow various marketing and financial applications to improve business operations. Next, some real world examples will be provided to show the actual impact WANs are having. The travel industry, JCPenney, Varsity Books, and Wal-Mart are just some of literally thousands of companies that have capitalized on the capabilities WANs provide. Finally, the importance of WANs and the benefits they can generate will be discussed. Specifically, the strategic leverage and competitive advantages that can be created and maintained by implementing the use of WANs will be addressed. Before getting into specific business applications, lets quickly review what a wide area network (WAN) is. Ray Hunt and John Vargo define a WAN as, A telecommunication network allowing connection of computers, peripherals, and other devices, such as telephone and fax, that are at a distance from one another (1996, p. 463). WANs extend across geographic boundaries such as streets, cities, states, and even countries, into the public domain where anybody can use them (Hunt Vargo, 2000). By allowing anybody and everybody into the public domain, WANs opened a completely new market for businesses that was previously not available to them. As a result, WANs grew larger and new communication methods and business applications were developed to capitalize on the WAN technology and architecture. The telephone system is an example of a wide area network. Its impact on business, and on most peoples lives in general, is rather obvious. It is one of the primary methods of communication we use today. Other, and relatively newer methods based on WANs include electronic mail (E-mail), voice mail, fax machines, and teleconferences. These applications/technologies have improved business communications by:1) Reducing the effect of telephone tag2) Minimizing time spent in telephone conversations3) Providing the ability to send and/or receive files4) Providing the ability to retain a permanent record of the communication5) Minimizing problems associated with geographic and time differences6) Reducing paper handling and associated costs (Hunt ; Vargo, 2000)The impact of business communications can not be understated. One senior executive states, Good communications are the lifeblood of any enterprise, large or small. Communications are essential to keep our entire organization functionin g at maximum levels and to make the most of our greatest management resource-our people (Blanchard, Hersey, ; Johnson, 1996, p. 338). Communication is not the only business activity WANs can significantly impact. Various marketing applications can be implemented using WANs. A reservation system is a good example of the way companies can market a seat on an airplane or a room in a hotel. The wide area network provides the link between the customer and the database that maintains up to the minute availability information. Customers can act as their own travel agent in the convenience of their own home or business. Companies can advertise and promote their services to a large segment of the market; the online market. Teleshopping is another area where marketing applications have experienced tremendous growth. Teleshopping, or electronic commerce (E-commerce) means shopping or conducting business electronically over WANs. Countless new companies have started that sell their products solely over the Internet. Many other established companies have started selling their products over the Internet in addition to their traditional locations. The concept is simple. Customers can browse the companys pro ducts over the Internet. If they find something they want, they can order it and pay with a credit card (also over the Internet). The company will ship the product(s) directly to the customers home or business. A customer never has to leave their home or place of business to conduct transactions. This capability attracts an entirely new market and revenue potential for companies. Similar financial services and applications are available. Use of WANs to conduct financial transactions is now commonplace in our society. We use automated teller machines (ATMs) every day to withdraw cash, transfer funds, and perform inquiries. Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is an essential capability WANs provide to the finance and banking industry. The ability to transfer funds electronically enables numerous business and personal transactions to be performed easily and virtually immediately. Buying products, paying bills, sending money to a friend or relative are just a few examples of EFT transactions. Hunt and Vargo say that without networks, financial services throughout the world would cease (1996). Another effective WAN application involves Point of Sale (POS) data. Networks are used to link sales registers at retail outlets to centralized databases that maintain inventory balances, product descriptions and prices, and other meaningful records. As sales transactions occur, the database is updated in real time to reflect those transactions. By maintaining current and historical data, companies can keep stock levels down, make better demand projections, and generate product and customer profiles (Hunt ; Vargo, 1996). This effective use of information management can be very important when significant decisions must be made. Most would agree WANs and associated applications are definitely impacting business today. Hedda Gabler Analysis EssayWANs can help organizations attain a competitive advantage, but nowadays, use of WANs is almost mandatory just to stay in business. The cost savings associated with communication, marketing, transactions, and other business activities make the use of WANs a must have in order to ensure efficient financial management and competitive in their respective industries. Hunt and Vargo state, A company in the travel industry cannot remain competitive without access to networks (1996, p. 41). This can be applied to other industries too. Again, JCPenneys entry in the Internet market gained a competitive advantage over their competitors that didnt, but they also maintained their competitiveness with those that did. To gain an understanding of the incredible growth and impact WANs are having on the economy, the following statistics and forecasts are provided: Americans online is expected to be 194 million (68%) in 2005, from 122 million (44%) in 2000 U.S. workers with Internet access at work is expected to be 85% in 2005, from 63% in 1999 U.S. business-to-business e-commerce will rise to $6.3 trillion in 2005, from $336 billion in 2000 U.S. consumer e-commerce is expected to rise to $269 billion in 2005, from $45 billion in 2000 E-commerce this holiday season is expected to rise to $11.6 billion, from $7 billion in 1999 Online small businesses with e-commerce are expected to be 49% in 2003, compared to 34% in 2000 E-commerce is expected to represent 4.4% of the U.S. gross domestic product by 2002 (Carr, 2000). As the statistics and forecasts show, WANs and associated applications will continue to grow and significantly impact our business and economic environments. To account for the expected growth and range of use, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) recently added seven new web address suffixes to the existing dot-com, dot-net, dot-org, dot-edu, dot-mil, and dot-gov. The new ones are dot-biz, dot-aero, dot-coop, dot-info, dot-name, dot-pro, and dot-museum (McDonald, 2000). Businesses can not ignore these trends. Use of WANs and e-commerce via the Internet is becoming the industry standard for companies to become and remain competitive. This essay attempted to provide a brief description of the impact of wide area networks on business. A definition of a WAN was provided and various business applications were described. Communication methods such as the telephone and email were addressed along with marketing and financial applications. Real world examples from the travel and retail industries were also discussed. We saw how WANs were utilized by an established company like JCPenney to maintain its competitiveness, and how a new company like VarsityBooks.com gained a competitive advantage and a piece of the college textbook market. Finally, we looked at the underlying concepts behind the success of WANs. Strategic leverage was explained and how it can result in gaining a competitive advantage and/or simply maintaining a companys competitiveness. The future of WANs is bright. A.J. Strickland III and Arthur A. Thompson, Jr. provide a succinct description of the current trend. They state,Internet entrepreneurs are currently leading a revolution to revamp the value chains for providing traditional mail services, providing all sorts of information to businesses and households, for conducting meetings via cameras and computers while the attendees sit at their desks in their offices, for providing long distance telephone services via the Internet, for shopping for goods and services, for trading stocks, and on and on. They are employing virtual value chains and exploiting the new economics of doing business in the marketspace of the World Wide Web and commercial on-line services (1999). Their choice of words seems accurate. We are employing virtual value chains, there are new economics of doing business in the marketspace, and we are experiencing a revolution. The statistics revealed earlier support this. The bottom line here regarding the Internet and WANs is that usage is becoming more prevalent and diverse every day, so you better gone on board or you will be left behind!Bibliography:ReferencesAquilano, Nicholas J., Chase, Richard B., Jacobs, F. The OMO maintains the record of Healthcare Provider Identifier numbers within the clinical software and the Seed Organisations internal records. Employee Training The existing employees will have to take up the My Health Record System training on how to use the My Health Record android app and the My Health Record iOS app interface. The new employees will have to undertake the My Health Record app usage training; they will also have to learn the underlying structure of the My Health Record (Kidd 2017). The Seed Organisations employee training will contain the training materials and those materials will be made available by the System Operator. The entire training will be conducted with compliance with the Seed Organisation and My Health Record System. Security and Privacy Procedures Mitigation Strategies My Health Record system has antivirus software installed on their system and the database, they have installed both hardware and software firewall too. This approach can assist the Seed Organisations to conduct business with My Health Record. The OMO and RO can securely carry out business operations. Moreover, the patients can enjoy the security services. If the employees become aware of the security breach, the manager will be informed about the virus attack from the intruders (Yoon et al. 2016). The RO and OMO get informed in this way. Patent Document My Health Record app provides multiple facilities to the patients. The patients can easily access the data on the go, they can access their data anywhere and everywhere, moreover, they will not have to consider the security concerns. However, the patients must not store their password in open spaces, instead, they should store it securely. Response to the patient complaints My Health Record apps provide multiple facilities to the patients. All the diagnosis results of the patients are collected at the same place, the patients will not have to visit doctors, and they will not have to explain their problems again and again. They will not have to make the diagnosis. The mobile app contains the vital information of the data. If any disruptions occur, if any kind of disagreement occurs between the patient and the medical practitioner, the chat option box there can help in clearing the confusion (Armani et al. 2016). A chat box on the mobile phone can help the patients to post queries, based on the queries the customers and the managers of the Seed Organisation can take step or actions. The mobile app makes it easier; the clients and the employees can communicate with ease. Assisted Registration Assisted Registration is the medium by which the Seed Organisations can serve their patients. The OMO will maintain the up-to-date list of staff those who undertake Assisted Registration in favour of the Seed Organisation. The Seed Organisations make a record of the entire patient's data and then with the consent of the patient they upload all the documents on the My Health Record System portal, this can be visible on the mobile platform and the phone apps as well. Patient Identification The Assisted Registration also helps in identifying the patient. The doctors can easily identify the patient and can view his or her health report. The doctor may prescribe ailments for the patients. The organisations must assure that the contents of the patients data present in the database must adhere to the data of the individual patients. The employees should make records of the patients information in a document and then must record the document number. The patients may feel that their data can get breached that are available over their mobile phone and they can refuse to provide the details (Leroux et al. 2017). The organisations should not insist or force the patients to reveal all the details. Patient Identification Verification Codes The patient is provided with the IVC and that IVC allows the patient to record all the details online (Jackson et al. 2015). In case of Assisted Registration, the patients have the choice to select between email and text message. Policy Implementation and Maintenance My Health Record System must imply the implementation and the maintenance, at the same time, the organisations registered with My Health Record System must also follow the policies (Liu et al. 2017). Rijecima danskog filozofa Sorena Kierkegaarda ,Nas Essays

Rekoh, ,skoro nedostiznu". Do kad cemo zivjeti u toj tudjoj kovacnici, gdje drugi, losi ljudi, nam kuju lazi, a mi ih, prihvacamo i percepciramo kao istinu.

Finite Verb Definition and Examples

Finite Verb Definition and Examples In English grammar, a finite verb is a form of a  verb  that (a) shows  agreement  with a  subject  and (b) is marked for  tense. Nonfinite verbs  are not marked for tense and do not show agreement with a subject. If there is just one verb in a sentence, that  verb is finite. (Put another way, a finite verb  can stand by itself in a sentence.)  Finite verbs are sometimes called main verbs or tensed verbs.  A  finite  clause  is a word group that contains a finite verb form as its central element. In An Introduction to Word Grammar, Richard Hudson writes: The reason  finite verbs  are so important is their unique ability to act as the sentence-root. They can be used as the only verb in the sentence, whereas all the others have to depend on some other word, so finite verbs really stand out. Finite vs. Nonfinite Verbs The main difference between finite verbs and nonfinite verbs is that the former can act as the root of an independent clause, or a full sentence, while the latter cannot. For example, take the following sentence: The man runs to the store to get a gallon of milk. Runs is a finite verb because it agrees with the subject (man) and because it marks the tense (present tense). Get is a nonfinite verb because it does not agree with the subject or mark the tense. Rather, it is an infinitive and depends on the main verb runs. By simplifying this sentence, we can see that runs has the ability to act as the root of an independent clause: The man runs to the store. Nonfinite verbs take three different forms- the infinitive, the participle, or the gerund. The infinitive form of a verb (such as to get in the example above) is also known as the base form, and is often introduced by a main verb and the word to, as in this sentence: He wanted to find a solution. The participle form appears when the perfect or progressive tense is used, as in this  sentence: He is looking for a solution. Finally, the gerund form appears when the verb is treated as an object or subject, as in this  sentence: Looking for solutions is something he enjoys. Examples of Finite Verbs In the following sentences (all lines from well-known movies), the finite verbs are indicated in bold. We rob banks. - Clyde Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde, 1967I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.  - Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs, 1991A boys best friend is his mother. - Norman Bates in Psycho, 1960We want the finest wines available to humanity. And we want them here, and we want them now! - Withnail in Withnail and I, 1986You know how to whistle, dont you, Steve? You just put your lips together and...blow.  - Marie Slim Browning in To Have and Have Not, 1944Get busy living, or get busy dying. - Andy Dufresne in  The Shawshank Redemption, 1994 Identify Finite Verbs In Essentials of English, Ronald C. Foote, Cedric Gale, and Benjamin W. Griffith write that finite verbs can be recognized by their form and their position in the sentence. The authors describe five simple ways to identify finite verbs: Most finite verbs can take an -ed or a -d at the end of the word to indicate time in the past: cough, coughed; celebrate, celebrated. A hundred or so finite verbs do not have these endings.Nearly all finite verbs take an -s at the end of the word to indicate the present when the subject of the verb is third-person singular: cough, he coughs; celebrate, she celebrates. The exceptions are auxiliary verbs like can and must. Remember that nouns can also end in -s. Thus the dog races can refer to a spectator sport or to a fast-moving third-person singular dog.Finite verbs are often groups of words that include such auxiliary verbs as can, must, have, and be: can be suffering, must eat, will have gone.Finite verbs usually follow their subjects: He coughs. The documents had compromised him. They will have gone.Finite verbs surround their subjects when some form  of a question is asked: Is he coughing? Did they celebrate? Sources Hudson, Richard. Shanghai Disney Expansion Project Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Shanghai Disney Expansion Project - Case Study Example That is to say, that even before a strategy is developed; it has to focus on these factors. In essence, it is at this stage that business owners normally analyze the current situation of the business concerning the aforementioned areas. A SWOT analysis is normally created at this point with an aim to give the overview of the company including its competitors, social and legal environment. The second step involves market profiling whereby the owner focuses on a number of issues including the revenues, market-share, and the expected profitability. In order to create this step effectively, a business owner has to be focused primarily on the customer1. Often, business people tend to introduce products in the market with little, if any, regard as to the customer’s need. It is through understanding the need of the customer that the development of a product and its subsequent marketing ought to take place. It is at this level that one sets targets for the products and rolls it out to the intended market, which has already been analyzed. Once market identity is complete and the projections of revenues and profits are set, the business owner has to create a market segment strategy. Here, the business has to decide the mode of making marketing and sales. That is to say, options such as direct or indirect sales ought to be analyzed, mass marketing and so forth. Business owners will have to set up product, pricing, promotional, distribution and marketing strategies. The essence of this step is to ensure that the targeted market has been reached, revenues projected is realized as well as guaranteeing market share.
